Mother's milk is the best source of nutrition — but it declines
The nutritional value of a mother dog's milk starts to decline day by day after a puppy is born. Dry feeding — helps oral health. Feed dry Real Nature Recipe kibble straight from the pack to help control plaque through chewing.
Wet feeding — helps digestion. Add 1 to 2 cups of warm water to Real Nature Recipe kibble. Wait 5 minutes to soften the kibble before serving to puppies or recuperating dogs. Discard any uneaten food after one hour to prevent spoilage.
Please provide your dog with fresh water. Reseal after opening and store in a cool, dry place (not in the refrigerator), away from heat and sunlight. Use as soon as possible.
* A puppy's food intake may differ because of factors such as breed, age in months, parity, environment and exercise, so actual feeding amounts will vary according to individual condition. 1–4 months old: try increasing feeding amounts and monitor the puppy's stool — if stool is sausage-shaped, smooth and soft, the amount is right. 5–12 months old: if your puppy reaches the standard weight of its breed, you can reduce feeding amounts or use the adult dog feeding guide of Real Nature Recipe. If a large-breed dog has not reached the standard weight, it can be used until 18 months of age.
How to feed
- 2–4 weeks
- Small or medium breed: crush the kibbles, add 40–50 °C warm water, stir and wait 3–5 minutes before serving. Large breed: if the puppy hasn't learned to eat on its own yet, use a syringe to feed the meat broth.
- 4–8 weeks
- Small or medium breed: add warm water directly, stir and wait 3–5 minutes before serving. Large breed: serve dry kibbles directly.
- After 8 weeks
- Serve dry kibbles directly.
