In the summer of 2013, Edward and Tony, classmates from National Taiwan University's Department of Animal Science and Technology, returned to Taiwan after more than a decade in animal nutrition overseas. They settled in the hills of Puli, just outside Sun Moon Lake.
Tony kept more than thirty dogs at home, from Best in Show–winning Neapolitan Mastiffs to the French Bulldogs that were never far from his side. Their coats, their joints, and the immune imbalances so common in Frenchies were part of everyday life. Drawing on over ten years of experience in functional nutrition, precision nutrition, and manufacturing, the two set out to design a formula of their own.
Using professional formulation software, they developed a functional, precision-nutrition formula built for Asia's climate and conditions, specified every production step, and tested it again and again. One year later, Real Nature Recipe was born.
More than a decade on, Real Nature Recipe is still what Tony's dogs and Edward's cats eat every day. We source real ingredients and supplements ourselves, manufacture at facilities that follow our specified production steps, and test every batch in our own food safety lab. Only when everything passes does it go into our own pets' bowls.
